The professional licensing program for the Law Society of Alberta is known as the CPLED Program (Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education).  This regional professional licensing program, blending new and traditional forms of pre-call education and developed by educators from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, was introduced in Alberta in 2004-2005.  Students seeking admission to the Alberta Bar must apply for admission, attend and successfully complete all of the requirements of Alberta’s CPLED Program.
